Sensex is currently trading higher by over 100 points on buying led by key frontline shares in IT, Teck, realty, healthcare, telecom, energy and auto sectors, despite weak Asian cues. The Sensex was trading higher by 169 points or 0.49 per cent at 34,585 and the Nifty up 52.2 points or 0.49 per cent at 10,616. Among BSE sectoral indices, realty, healthcare, IT and TECk remained investors' favourite, while metal, FMCG and infrastructure succumbed to selling pressure. Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd fell 2.3% to Rs 167. Indian Hume Pipe Co. Ltd rose 6% to Rs 364. TCS shares rose 2.65% on Monday to Rs 3,496. Bhushan Steel Ltd fell 6% to Rs 33. Reliance Naval and Engineering Ltd fell 5.2% to Rs 27. LIC Housing Finance Ltd rose 1.3% to Rs 547 Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd fell 2.3% to Rs 167. Lupin Ltd rises 1.15% to Rs 807.

Sensex and  Nifty  traded lower on Friday following losses in global equities and the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) hawkish comments in the monetary policy committee minutes. Sensex traded lower by 62.22 points, or 0.18%, to 34,365. while the Nifty  fell 10.05 points, or 0.10%, to 10,555.Avanti Feeds Ltd shares jumped 7.47% to Rs 2346. Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd rose 1.49% to Rs133. Larsen and Toubro Ltd down 1.54% to Rs1,362. Sixteen out of 19 sectoral indices traded lower on BSE with metal, realty, bankes, energy, finance and basic materials losing over 1%. IT and teck gained more than 3%. BSE MidCap and SmallCap were down 0.77% and 0.25%, respectively. Fortis shares rose 3.26% to Rs153. Cyient Ltd shares jumped 9.57% to hit an all time high of Rs709. Other IT stocks were also trading higher. Infosys Ltd rose 1.2%, Wipro Ltd 1.1%, HCL Technologies Ltd 2% Eveready Industries Ltd shares fell 9% to Rs334. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd shares gained 6%.

Sensex and  Nifty gained for a sixth straight session on Thursday led by IT and banking stocks despite mixed sentiment in global markets. Meanwhile, stocks markets in Europe and Asia traded mixed, tracking losses in US equities overnight amid geopolitical tensions over a possible US missile strike on Syria. Traders are also awaiting consumer price index-based inflation data due later in the day. CPI will be at 4.2% in March against 4.44% a month ago, and IIP to be at 7% for February, compared to 7.5% in January. Adani shares were down 3.88% at Rs138.85, Fortis Healthcare Ltd jumped 2.47% to Rs151, Dish TV India Ltd shares jumped 3.66% to Rs76 ,Biocon Ltd shares gained 2.23% to Rs626, Hindustan Petroleum Corp fell 2.3%, Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd 2.4%, Indian Oil Corp Ltd 2% IT stocks gained after rupee weakened to fresh five-month low.
