Sensex and  Nifty  traded lower on Friday following losses in global equities and the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) hawkish comments in the monetary policy committee minutes. Sensex traded lower by 62.22 points, or 0.18%, to 34,365. while the Nifty  fell 10.05 points, or 0.10%, to 10,555.Avanti Feeds Ltd shares jumped 7.47% to Rs 2346. Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd rose 1.49% to Rs133. Larsen and Toubro Ltd down 1.54% to Rs1,362. Sixteen out of 19 sectoral indices traded lower on BSE with metal, realty, bankes, energy, finance and basic materials losing over 1%. IT and teck gained more than 3%. BSE MidCap and SmallCap were down 0.77% and 0.25%, respectively. Fortis shares rose 3.26% to Rs153. Cyient Ltd shares jumped 9.57% to hit an all time high of Rs709.
